Winter Event Information
November through April
AVAILABILITY FOR INDOOR WEDDINGSWinter weddings November to though April. No outdoor weddings during the winter season unless we get an usually warm day.
Christmas parties, we are decked out for the hoidays, Christmas parties includes a high quality santa outfit for the evening.
Mystery parties, the carpenter gothic victorian home is perfect for the mystery party dinner. We can provide costumes to fit your theme.
Baby or bridal showers are fun here. Also we can do bachelorette parties.
HOURS
Winter – Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Any 6 hour block between 11 am and 11 pm. Please call 775-322-5455 for more information.
CAPACITY
Winter – Up to 35 people, 45 for non-wedding events.
SETTING
The ceremony is in the parlor in front of the 9 foot wide white marble fireplace. Dinner party in dining room and sun room with very large windows overlooking the grounds and pond..FACILITIES
Use of the main floor of house, excluding kitchen (for staging by caterer only), with two restrooms and separate dressing rooms for the bride and groom. Sit down dinner for up to 30. "Cocktail style" reception for up to 45 people.
EXTRAS
Site fee includes: Antique furniture decorates the parlor. Tables, chairs and basic white tablecloths, white chair covers/sashes on dining room chairs, selection of a couple different centerpieces. All the infrastructure is setup for you when you arrive. There is a bar you may use and tubs for the drinks. A big refrigerator is available for cake, flowers and food storage. Professional caterer is required, we know of many with prices ranging from $8 per person.
STAFF
Staff has a phone meeting with you within the week before your wedding and there full six hours of your wedding. Staff oversees vendor setup and flow of your wedding and also assists with cleanup. They are not responsible for doing everything for you but will try to help in anyway that they can.
MUSIC
Pianist included for ceremony music, limit of 3 songs. You may hook up an ipod or play CDs for background music. No DJs or bands allowed during winter. Limited dancing available.
CATERING
Although we prefer that you hire a professional caterer, we do allow drop off catering, but someone in your group will need to set up food and clean up food areas if you do this. Kitchen available for staging only, no preparation or cooking allowed. No self catering.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
You may bring beer, wine and champagne. No hard liquor allowed on premises.
CHILDREN
During winter there is not much room for the children to play and they must have close supervision.
VENORS
List for vendors is provided in your booking package; Wedding Cake, Flowers, DJ, Photographers, Tuxedos, and Room Accommodation suggestions.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
Ask us how to get a limo for the bride and groom at a fabulous price! We are one mile from downtown and taxi rides are about $7 each way. Almost an acre lot available adjacent to the property and can accommodate up to 80 cars. Cars may be left overnight if needed.
INSURANCE AND DEPOSITSAdditional liability insurance is required, information due 30 days before event. A security/cleaning deposit is due at booking and returned after your event.
PACKAGES
We have packages available that include minister, catering, cake, photography, and flowers. Please call for more information.
